Our discussion will focus on the meaning of the project, how it serves its community, and how it addresses larger issues of discrimination, equity, diversity, and inclusion. The Monument memorializes those lost to AIDS, while it also celebrates the many heroes in the LGBTQIA+ community who have led the way to the other side of the AIDS epidemic, educating younger generations about these experiences.
