

The installation from repo may NOT anycodings_virtualbox improved the resolution.

apt-get install virtualbox-guest-additions-iso VBoxGuestAdditions are present in many anycodings_virtualbox package repositories and can be anycodings_virtualbox installed by the package systems like anycodings_virtualbox apt or yum.

Whether host or guest, virtualbox with anycodings_virtualbox Arch Linux now also needs linux-headers anycodings_virtualbox (or any of the following to match the anycodings_virtualbox type of kernel you are using: anycodings_virtualbox linux-lts-headers linux-zen-headers anycodings_virtualbox linux-grsec-headers). If Arch Linux is your guest, then you anycodings_virtualbox apparently need to install anycodings_virtualbox virtualbox-guest-utils inside your Arch anycodings_virtualbox Linux guest OS. Inside the guest OS, it will anycodings_virtualbox show up as a CD (or manually point/mount anycodings_virtualbox the virtual CD to the host OS path anycodings_virtualbox /usr/lib/virtualbox/additions/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso) anycodings_virtualbox and you can install from there to get anycodings_virtualbox vboxguest working. If Arch Linux is your host, you need to anycodings_virtualbox install virtualbox-guest-iso in the host anycodings_virtualbox Arch Linux. I removed both of those with sudo pacman anycodings_virtualbox -Rsn virtualbox-guest-utils. For me, Arch anycodings_virtualbox Linux is the host, so I should not have anycodings_virtualbox installed virtualbox-guest-utils which anycodings_virtualbox also installed virtualbox-guest-dkms as anycodings_virtualbox a dependency.
